Unregistering a phone

Postby merc07 on Mon Mar 23, 2009 8:03 pm

I have changed my phone. My new one has the same name ie Adam. I have registered it to use it with blue tooth and it works fine.

However, I now have 2 phones called 'Adam' in the Info/Phone menu

How do I delete the old registered phone ?

i dont think you can unregister the old phone, it will just bump it down a spot when you register a new one. choose a different name

Then I'll end up with 3 phones on the system !
Maybe I can find them on the hd (unlocked) and delete them that way,

Cheers

The only way to delete the list is do a reset, however, this will also reset a number of other things...

It does not hurt anything to have multiple phones installed on the Z. It will only connect to 1 at a time. if you no longer carry the old phone, it will not try to connect...
Please see my classified ad for all your Z series hard drive upgrade needs:

I realise it won't try to connect to the old phone automatically but with the Z you have to tell it which one you want to connect to. I have 3 phones in the list that I use + 1 old one which has the same name as another. Just wanted to remove the 'dead one' to make it simpler as I can never remember which is which.

Is there a directory on the drive specific to the registered phones ?

Cheers

I have four phones in my list. The Z will detect which one is in range and choose that one to connect with.
