Upgrade Notes Using CNDV-900HD:
Pioneer Avic Z2
30gb OEM Automotive HDD (previously upgraded to Z3 firmware/maps with the Z3 virgin image).
CNDV-900HD DVD used for upgrade
Powered with a 10 amp DC Power Supply (Not installed in a vehicle)
Takes about 3 hours to complete from start to finish

NEW
Version: 04.0000
CDDB Version: 09-01-0020
Platform: 3.000200

Updates contained on the CNDV900HD update DVD (Per the included documentation):
For Customers using AVIC-Z1:
It includes all the feature updates that were shipped with the Z2 and Z3 such as customizable splash screen, enhanced VR, 3D map view, 3D landmarks, etc.

For Customers using AVIC-Z2 or AVIC-Z3:
-2009 Map database with over 12 million POI
-GraceNotes database update
- XM Satellite Radio Icon update
The other operations are essentially the same as those at the time you purchased the hardware. Use the Operation Manual included in the hardware package as your primary reference.

You can reintall your old drive and it will downgrade back to the 2008 Z3 maps/software.

The 2 wire bypass still works fine.

I hope someone posts an image of their drive running this new version

I am badly in need of some new maps. My neighborhood isnt even on mine (Z1 with Z3 HDD)

Maybe Garrett will post the drive image with the map update installed and save us all 120 bux

I personally like the newsgroup idea w/supporting .nzb for hosting but might be too high tech for some...

have u noticed any flaws or issues with the 2009 map updates? have noticed some good improvements on the way the system gets you from 1 place to another with the new maps? or is it about the same when the 2008 maps where applied??
