Does AVIC-F500BT have enternal gps antenna?

Hello,

I'm going to buy F500BT and install it in-dash of my car but i'm afraid it would affect to gps signal.
So, Does AVIC-F500BT have external gps antenna?
If yes where i can buy it?

I called Pioneer about this, they said it did...but an odd connector.

The tech told me where to get it, but I figured I would cobble something together.

My 500 should be here tuesday.

I know this is an old post, but figured I would answer anyway.

Yes,the F500 has both external antenna and external microphone ports.

Both work wonderfully.

The antenna connector is MMCX. I highly recommend getting a straight connector,the right angle I got is a PITA. The Mic is 2.5mm, same as other Pioneer mics.

Mine now works wonderfully.

EDIT: It is more likely to be the MCX connector which is larger in diameter.

I have a gps antenna with mmcx connector which fits my mio unit and the F500BT is actually larger and won't fit. I think our unit is not MMCX.

Did you get a connector and fit it yourself?
