Buttons Not Working

Hey guys, just installed my AVIC U310BT in a 2006 Mercury Milan. I'm having an odd problem though. Aside from not being able to get my PAC SWI-PS working correctly (I think I fudged the soldering), I now can't get any of the on-screen buttons to respond to touch.

It just started happening out of the blue, but now that I think of it, it seemed to start happening right after I flashed to 1.003 firmware. The radio preset buttons 1-6 don't respond to touch, though I can still cycle up and down with them via the joystick/vol knob. The play/pause, S.RTV, random/repeat, etc buttons don't work either when playing music off of a USB drive. The nav buttons all function 100% though, as do the settings screen buttons, etc. I tried F.Reset, and the reset button on the front as well as flashing to the European 1.004 firmware with no go. What's wrong with my unit!!
