  1. Only averages 100 visitors online 24/7, clearly dead. /sarcasm
  2. I can't remove it since it is helpful for older units, and I'm not in the business of censoring posts, however I have added a warning as requested.
  3. Fixed the links here: http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/35-step-by-step-guide-to-making-custom-backgrounds/?p=118 Some sort of link weirdness from the multiple forum updates I suspect, as the files were still there.
  4. Not sure what happened to PIMViewer, I'll take a look, but PIMMGR is here: http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/29-custom-pim-image-application/?p=105
  5. FTP is out of the question, however you can upload files to forum posts.
  6. Some of the purchased map updates require a password retrieved from Pioneer's site: https://www.pioneernavigationupdate.com/navigationupdate/
  7. If you want it to work properly, you'll need the real deal: http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD823ZM/A/lightning-to-30-pin-adapter
  8. If you're reading this, you're on the new Google Compute Engine powered site! If you see any issues with the site, please reply to this topic. Thanks, Jason
  9. Most of my contacts have left Pioneer, as such, we haven't been invited to CES since 2011. However, I did create a forum here: http://avic411.com/index.php?/forum/63-nex/
  10. Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc. continues to enhance the in-vehicle smartphone experience by announcing that 16 more Android-based smartphones are compatible with AppRadio Mode in-dash receivers, including highly popular models from Samsung, HTC, Motorola and Sony. Compatibility with current and newly added Android smartphone devices enables the use and enjoyment of dozens of today’s most popular apps directly from the screen of AppRadio Mode products, including AppRadio 3 (SPH-DA210 and SPH-DA110) and AppRadio 2 smartphone receivers, AVH-X8500BHS DVD receiver, and AVIC-X950BH and AVIC-Z150B
  11. I don't remember the procedure but I'm sure it's around here somewhere. There's a way to "erase" the flash memory in the service menu and then reload from the disc.
  12. Probably need a powered/diversity antenna adapter.
  13. Very unlikely; totally different hardware, but who knows.
  14. Select the TTS voice in the settings.
  15. Check the reverse wire going to the app radio. It sounds like the reverse wire is getting 12 volts making the appradio think the car is in reverse.
  16. Just about anything is smaller than WAV files. 256k MP3 should work nicely. If the mp3 files have proper IC3 tags, they'll be displayed.
  17. I can vouch for that. A lot of the "modern" flash drives have issues because they're not strictly a USB Mass Storage Device. A lot of flash drives have U3, or other features that interfere with units like the AVIC. The most basic the flash drive the better. Most of the older 2GB and smaller ones should work without a problem.
  18. Just turn Aux on in the menu and then select it as your source. Although, I am curious as to why you used a IPBus RCA instead of the built in input.
  19. AppRadio 2 Firmware Update v8.30 (2/15/2013) Firmware support for iPhone® 5 and fifth generation iPod® touch. iPhone 5 compatibility requires the use/purchase of: Pioneer CD-IH202 interface cable kit Apple® Lightning to Digital AV Adapter Apple USB to Lightning cable [*]Do not install this update if you do not own an iPhone 5 or fifth generation iPod touch. A member has reported issues after updating with a iPhone 4S. Download here: Pioneer.com
  20. I believe on the 920 it's over one spot.
  21. The (correct) bypass allows for full features at any speed.
  22. That's not the bypass; all they did was put a switch on the parking break which doesn't do anything. Actual bypass: http://avic411.com/index.php?showtopic=14761
  23. The bypass has nothing to do with the VSS. If it's not working, it's not bypassed correctly.
