I realize this is kind of an old thread, but anyone having this same problem a real easy place to hook the alumination wire is the 12v illumination wire going to the anti skid button on the console next to the gear shift.

Problem solved... I ordered a new antenna and once it was installed everything started working as it should.

I moved my AVIC D3 into my new car and even though it was working great before, now it keeps loosing direction. So far about 15 or 20 times I have gone into Correct Current Location and turned the arrow the correct direction and before long it shows my car going sideways or backwards down the road. You would think it would self correct this. Lets face it, who drives 80MPH backwards. Has anyone else had this issue.

I do Bluetooth streaming of Pandora on my AVIC-D3. With a CD-BTB200-Bluetooth Wireless Adapter for phone calls and audio streaming and an iPhone with the Pandora app. It hooks up without any problem. I wouldn't say it has CD quality sound by any means but it sounds pretty decent.

It is probably just the fuse that plugs into the back of the unit

My Iphone was cutting out like that and I noticed that if I put my phone closer to where the blue tooth receiver box is the sound would clear up.

This weekend I was moving my D3 into my new car and in the process broke the female pin used in the bypass. I have been searching on here for a while but can't find the size of the pin. Does anyone know the size of this pin or where I can get a new one to replace it and return to full functionality?

2005 Mustang. I took the black wire and soldered all wires that go to ground together and hooked the end of the black wire to the chassis. This weekend I will desolder this wire and put is on a seperate chasis ground.
