  1. you will need an indash kit for both the type-s or a base model. However, you can use a basemodel factory kit, but you will be left with huge gaps on each side. I have a Base, and i bought the American international kit http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_269 ... -K864.html the only thing you have to do with this kit is cut some plastic peace which is easy to do, and file a bit off to make is smooth.
