  1. I have a bunch of questions regarding the video output capabilities of the D3. Firstly, the display has a 17:9 aspect ratio, and a resolution of 1440 (480 x 3) x 234 for a total of 336,960 pixels. (from Crutchfield) http://www.crutchfield.com/p_130AVICD3/Pioneer-AVIC-D3.html?tp=20212&tab=detailed_info 1. What does (480 x 3), mean ? How does 1440:234 translate into the resolution of 17:9 ? I am confused. 2. Is the video out on the D3 limited to the screen resolution of the D3? Shortly, I plan to feed the composite AV output from my iPhone 4 into AV1 input of the D3 and r
  2. After reading through pages and pages of conversations and multiple threads on the topic, I decided to filter out the duplicates and condense all important information into a single post. This has helped me and hopefully others will benefit from this in the future. Thanks to all the original posters for the content, especially 'necro' for his fantastic tutorial. Again, this is just rehash from others experiences with the bypass, nothing new; ---------------------- Flash tutorial on bypass: http://www.avic411.com/D3Bypass/album0.html Forum on bypass AVIC411.com Forum Index -> H

  5. Confused ... are these the existing Japanese version or some new Japanese version? If these are new ones, when can we expect them in the U.S. ?
  6. Thanks again for the clarification. I thought so too that this is BS.
  7. Sorry ... forgot to post the bluetooth question in the main post. 1. Is the video bypass required to enable full bluetooth functionality while driving? I thought I read in one of the posts that is is requried. Could not find the posting. 2. Any feedback on A2DP + AVRCP bluetooth performance is appreciated. Does it perform as it is supposed to? Does the supporting bluetooth device pair and remain connected properly? Thanks.
  8. I have ordered a D3 + CD-BT200 Bluetooth module + CD-I200 iPod cable + Boyo VTL200 rear view camera. Having read numerous threads and the 'stickies' I am looking for a quick answers to the followng questions . (please spare the RTFMs as I do not have the D3 as yet) 1. Will the D3 power-on by itself (automatically) when rear-view camera is hooked-up to the head unit and reverse is engaged or does the D3 have to be manually powered on to get the rear view? 2. Pioneer's D3 web page mentions that the backup camera can be engaged in split screen mode while driving and in forward motion. Is
  9. I have read all the 'stickies' and numerous other threads before I decided to ask this question. The current bypass approach seems pretty straight forward and simple if done correctly. Before I discovered avic411.com, I approached a installer at 'Tweeter' to help me plan/configure the system. He recommended that for the video bypass, I will need a bypass module accessory; PAC TR7 http://www.mobilcaraudio.com/catalog/it ... 984019.htm Having read the forum threads, I am wondering if this accessory can help. He confidently claimed that he has used this accessory for other D3 install
  10. 6ave electronics is a authorized internet reseller for Pioneer products. This is the lowest price I have ever seen from a Authorized reseller.
