Update: Even though the gps antenna is in the dash and only 6 months old, it went bad somehow. Replaced it and nav works fine. However, the 1.06 update did kill the 2wire bypass and my appradio with my Galaxy S4 so heads up.

I will say in my experiance that updating my Z150BH to 1.06 pretty much bricked the navigation so use caution. After updating, my nav quit responding to gps signals.

Hello, was wondering if anyone else has ran into this problem. I updated the firmware on my Z150BH from 1.03 to 1.06 and now my navigation has froze. I live in Missouri and the map is stuck showing somewhere in California. I've tried factory reset, disconnecting the car battery, checked the gps antenna, replaced the gps antenna. In the info screens, it is showing (Antenna OK) (NO GPS) (yellow sat 0) (red sat 0). The head unit is reconizing speed pulses but not distance. I sent Pioneer an email about the issue and awaiting reply. The only thing I can think to do is downgrade the firmware

Try installing the Jan 2014 1.06 firmware update from Pioneer. This update is supposed to fix this issue.

I know it's an old topic but to answer your question the Z150BH does not dim the buttons, just the screen. I haven't seen any settings or noticed mine dimming with the headlights, just the screen.
