Since the most recent Pandora update it only works with Carplay for about 30-40 seconds and then stops the music andreturns to the main Carplay menu. I have a NEX 6000 and I've contacted Pandora and they have tried to assist but their fixes (restarting the phone or reinstalling Pandora) only last for a couple of sessions and then the same thing starts all over again. Anyone else having this issue?

But true to form Pandora within Carplay has some issues or perhaps it is the Pioneer causing weirdness. I only get the Carplay Pandora app about 50% of the time even though the phone clearly says Carplay. The other half I get the Pioneer Pandora app so it appears there is a conflict yet to be resolved. I'm not holding my breath.

After Carplay version 1 there is no way I would consider upgrading to a new radio for a feature that probably won't work anyway or be buggy as hell. I don't know who is responsible for the current offering and lack of functionality but I won't be buying Pioneer next time either. Consider this - if Carplay will automatically be started when an iPhone enters the car what kind of hell will we have to endure to turn this feature off? Knowing Pioneer it will take a half a dozen menu selections that won't be retained. What a fiasco.

From what I can see the traffic map is a POS. Mine displayed either red or nothing. It was so far out of whack compared to the actual traffic conditions I completely gave up on it. Even Apple Maps is incomplete. When Google maps becomes part of CarPlay I'll have a look. But until then traffic on the NEX is a joke.

It's about freakin time. I may actually use Carplay again.

I'm probably one of the few here that think CP isn't worth much. The only music I listen to is Pandora and there is no app for that via CP. The Pioneer app works very well with Pandora. Voice control of texting is pretty cool but the rest of it I just don't use. Apple maps are horrible for traffic display. And like you have already discovered most everything is buggy. I'm pissed I wasted so much loot on a head unit because it had CP. YMMV.

I read somewhere (probably here) that the recent 1.06 update updated the color scheme on the traffic maps to provide more detail instead of red or nothing. I seem to recall checking the map once and did actually see an orange color. However with the 1.08 update it seems to be back to red or nothing. I even checked the switch for showing free flow traffic which I asume might be green in color. For the map display I selected color only and no icons but the icons are still present. I wonder if anyone at Pioneer actually tests this stuff. The traffic map is still unusable. Apple maps shows 2 c

It just seems odd to me there is no graduated scale for congestion. I'm used to a scale from green to red and all I get with this radio is red or nothing.

Is the traffic map in the NEX models the biggest piece of junk ever produced or are there some setting I'm missing? I have the 6000 and the traffic map never shows the correct traffic conditions. I see areas where the map reports a slowdown that isn't there and areas where there is a complete stop and the map shows nothing. This is on a major freeway in Houston TX and I know we have some of the most sophisticated traffic reporting in the nation. Is there a refresh setting for the traffic updates? Am I supposed to see varying levels of congestion using a green to red scale? My display shows
