  1. I did that update yesterday - worked like a charm. Could have done it without using Ebay and gathering data here - but I did not want to brink my unit.
  2. So far I guess there is no magic. I have the gain down but I have to turn the radio to 45 to "thump". I may pull the adjustment out of the GMOS and wire a remote adjustment near my eq...... just a thought
  3. I am fighting engine whine with this set up I am using a GMOS-4 and Pac swis its not bad but bad enough. Do any of you have a similar setup with no noise? I am on the verge of pulling it all out and double checking everything....
  4. just found this in another thread! Re: Grounding Problem. New postby garth32 » Fri Mar 20, 2009 1:21 am Installed a ground loop isolator today from radio shack, $20. Sound gone, stereo rocks, 1 minute install, Just pull RCA out of amp and plug it in to isolator than isolator into amp, wala. Now I love it.
  5. I have the same issue in an 04 Escalade I am going to follow this thread as well. I will dig in to mine at a later date - If I resolve it first I will post my efforts!
  6. I am using the four rca outs I am going the split the rear outs and try that!
  7. Ok I will try to be as clear as possible and I just want to know if anyone else has encountered this. I am using the sub out on my F90bt to drive some powerful aftermarket subs. I listen to a lot of music but mostly classic rock - on my previous setup (avic N2) I do not think the sub out had a factory crossover point built in. Here is why I pose the question. I feel like I need a little higher crossover point. - I thump now but mainly the kick drum on the previous setup I think I ran closer to 200hz or maybe a tad higher as I like the bass guitar to come thru... I am going to split t
  8. No I just did my first "hack" added mute to nav menu - once you overwrite the data on the flash drive built into the unit its done... at least in a F90BT
  9. BULLSEYE!!! I had to disconnect my battery today to add and amp. Has this exact issue - logged on did a search followed you input and I am back in the saddle! Thanks
  10. Installed yesterday Pac Swi-ps and GMOS-04 are a huge help. both units work perfectly. I have not finished as I have not hooked up my subs or backup camera. Ran out of daylight and I have a long drive today. Only issue was no sound out of XM ran in here did a search and realized I had the cable in the wrong slot on the unit.......
  11. Perfect that was the info I needed!
  12. On my avic N2 it made a huge difference!
  13. I am here right now what did you end up doing with the Brown and Green wire from Gmos?
  14. did you resolve this issue I am finishing up my harness now 2 orange wires on GMOS and one Ill wire out of Avic...
  15. I have the F90bt, a GMOS-04 and a pac sw-ps...... I have all the wiring here on my desk and I am soldering all the connections. Using the GMOS it looks like it will pull most everything out of the exiting harness. I know I have to find the wire in the steering column for the pac unit and the reverse wire... will I need to find the VSS wire? there is one out of the GMOS This is for an 04 Escalade with Nav already.,, I just can't get used to not digging for more wires... I did the hardware override that was a breeze. Thanks Eddy
