  1. Gwilson nailed it. Resistive screens need that malleable surface to detect your touch. Super cold temperatures inhibit this tremendously. The 8000, with capacitive screens will not see this problem. I have the 8000, temp dropped to -2 Fahrenheit... no issues.
  2. I know this isn't going to be much help, but I have no issue with crackling speakers will using the nav system. I too have to 8000NEX. When I hooked my unit up, nav did take me on roads that were pretty odd for the programmed route. However, after I took off the dash and attached the speed cable and reset the nav for the speed control stuff.. I saw a notable improvement.
  3. This email I have received from Pioneer is REALLY disappointing. I spend over $1200 for the 8000NEX and more for the install... now this email appears in my inbox!!! If another unit comes out that has all of the abilities which were touted by the media, I will return the 8000nex and go with a company who can live up to it's timeline and hype. I keep checking for updates on AVICSYNC and CARPLAY, hoping that I will see some new information about a release date. I was reading in earlier posts where people spoke about returns on the product. Some of the post were very mean spirited, which I fully understand. When you par
  6. I truly apologize if this has been addressed before. I have been unable to find a solution. I am trying to find the Speed Sense wire on the 2008 Ford 150 5.4L V8 4 Door truck. The radio is fantastic. I have not hooked up the speed sense wire since I am unable to determine which one it is. But, I get an error about it frequently. Any help, photos or diagrams would be much appreciated. Thank you, Dave
