Currently I have a Note 3 with Samsung authentic (purchased locally from Best Buy store) MHL adapter, I have plugged in the power to its micro USB connection, short 1M HDMI cable to the back of HU. When I go to Contacts, or anything, trying to scroll any pages, would flip to a black screen, sometimes it may come back in few seconds. If I go to the GPS, it doesn't work at all just showing with a black screen. Do I have a bad connection? I know there's a kit from Pioneer, do I need to purchase that? Much appreciate your help.

Just got the 8000NEX installed, trying to get AppRadio to work with my Note 3. I can see the menu and I can control it from HU, however, there's a huge overscan, I can only see about 70% of the contents on the HU LCD panel. I see some youtube videos for showing a perfectly scaled screen, how do I do that? Much appreciate your help.

Ah, I didn't see the instruction on page 171 to turn off the unit. That must be it, thank you for the pointer.

Reading it again, it says to press "Auto EQ & TA" repeatedly even though the option is greyed out? That I didn't try, I won't be able to give it a try till tomorrow.

Trying to hookup the calibration microphone to 8000NEX to do an auto EQ, but all options are greyed out. I tried plugging in the mic to the mic input when flipping down the HU front panel, it doesn't get anywhere once I plug the mic in. I also try going through audio settings, but I'm not able to initiate the EQ process as all options are greyed out! I have grounded the parking brake wire not sure if this has any effects? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Tagging this, I have the same issue where HU doesn't pull any Address Book data, as well can't get AppRadio Unchained to work so far.

Picked up a AVIC-8000NEX yesterday, been reading quite a bit about how to get AppRadio Unchained to work, thought I would give it a go! So far pulling my hair out (still have some left), but no luck getting it to work.
