    which ipod

If you want the newest iPod or iTouch you can use the APPLE composite cable with the rca ends but you have to give up the pioneer touch screen control and use AV1 or AV2 input. Im sure someone will come out with an adapter to fix the pin out changes in the cables and the newer units.
  2. Ive got the itouch. Apple said I needed there newest cable and could only use the composite signal using rca audio and video. Direct iPod cable to the pioneer wasnt supported due to a pin-out change. so they say. I got the $50 apple cable and have to use my av1 input for video playback on the D3. Works but no touch screen controls, have to use the iTouch screen for selections. Audio does work only with the pioneer cable.
  3. Thanks for the info. I kinda thought Bose was in its own world when the original speakers years ago had the amps in the doors with the speakers themselves. Im going to check the speed sensor wire first with a simple disconnect. Else Ill have to see. Wasnt planning on keeping my Avalanche more than another year unless gas prices come down and a Prius couldnt handle a D3 last time I check unless I want to mount it in the glove box. lol Else I might just have to give in and get some speakers with the amp. I know it will sound better if I do. crappy GM
  4. Ive had the same issue since day one. Buzzing from speakers. Increases as I step on the gas. INstaller installed ground loop isolation on both amp outputs but still present. I installed a ground loop isolator on the head units power lead but no change. Im going to buy new amps for the speakers. Using the factory amp at this time. Crappy GM. One thing I might try 1st however is to disconnect the speed sensor wire. Im wondering if thats directly effecting it. Anyone have any good recommendations? I have a really old 300Watt Kenwood bridged for my sub. under the back seat.

    HDTV Tuner

Ive searched and only found HD Radio threads so dont beat me if I missed it somewhere else. Has any tv tuner company come out with an HDTV tuner yet? I know you cant connect HD video signals to the Pioneer screen but standard Video on an Aux Video input would do. Then just tune into the local OTA HDTV weather channel that all of the local stations carry. Ffor 2yrs Ive had a 7in LCD Touch screen connected to a laptop under the back seat with Verizon evdo broadband. Its great to be able to download NOAA radar loops for bad weather in the state of Texas but Im looking to phase out the
