  1. Guys I have a 2015 wrangler with alpine, I have the last model the NEX 4000 with Maestro and absolutely hate this setup. I cannot get the fader to work or individual sub controls to function either. My understanding from Maestro is that pioneer does not pass all of the digital controls.. is it different on yours?
  2. I defaulted my radio and now resume works... So anyone else having that issue restore back to factory.
  3. I am interested. These NEX units combined with Idatalink is a joke. I cant believe how many people defend it on here. So much money for half ass programing and features.
  4. Anyone else? I have tried everything I can think of. Never resumes. Is there a setting somewhere I am missing? How are your folder structures?
  5. Fat32. Multiple devices, flash drives and hard drives.
  6. Anyone have anyluck getting music to resume? Have teh NEX 4000 with 1,08 and Maestro RR for interface. Still cannot use ucconnect without breaking appradio BUT the biggest headach is not being able to resume on playback.. Seems some people can? I dont get it? Can people please respond if they can or cant and what they did to make it work? I have tried different USB devices, all start back to an alphabetical list and start playing on "A" everytime. I also have a loud pop about every 3rd time the unit is turned on through the speakers.
  7. Apparently I should actually read the screen.. I was adjusting the smart phone settings and moving the adjusters to the outer edge of screen, not phone.. So now diplays correctly for apps but home screen i now have major overscan...
  8. Two Samsung note 3's. One rooted one brand new out of the box. NEX is a fresh 1.08. Hdmi Cable connected to Samsung official MLH adaptor version 2.0. When I chose HDMI for AV I need to select zoom for landscape mode to display right. In App mode its always has the view of full but gives ma a letter box squished look and the touch setting are all off. ( Smartphone screen calibration shows edged to the outer edges but picture never changes. I have seen a 8000 with same setup and it formats correctly. Any thoughts?
  9. Does yours display full screen? Mine does not and neither does my wifes. When I choose HDMI I need to select zoom an it displays correctly on HDMI mode only, Back to APPS and I get a letterboxed look. Adjusting smartphone screen size does not make a difference. I have two Note 3, one rooted and one default. Same issue with both. NEX 4000
  10. I have a jeep 2015 and Maestro RR and with the new firmware 1.08 it does allow digital controls and UCONNECT so your steering wheel controls will work BUT it breaks other Bluetooth functionality on the head unit itself and almost all the features that the Maestro support Pioneer does NOT support yet they plaster all over their documentation that its the recommended setup.. Plus if you have an upgraded audio system with a digital amp you cant adjust anything with the radio like fader, base to sub etc. Boils down to PIONEER released a beta head unit. Alpine, Kenwood etc all support full inte
  11. I have a note 3 and the NEX 4000. Same idea just without navigation. It has been a joke to get this thing to connect right. Pandora works fine for me as long as I am connected via HDMI and my Bluetooth shows SSP connection on the head unit. BUT I loose my Uconnect feature (New addition on latest firmware if running the digital Maestro RR connected to the pioneer) The whole system is buggy as hell. I had an I phone and had just as many issues and that's why I went to a droid. Granted that was before the 1.08. I rooted my phone so I could run ar unchained but I cannot get the resolution to s
  12. Funny I have a note 3 and have the exact opposite issue. I get under scan or really improperly adjusted scaling. When in landscape mode I have a squished screen. Black bars top and bottom. Switch to hdmi and it scales right in zoom mode. I cannot find any adjustments anywhere. Half the time nothing works and audio gets cut out and need to reconnect everything. Tried on two different notes one rooted and one just running pioneer appradio. Same issue....
  13. Right.. Well considering teh people at crutchfield also didnt know and the people at EVERY installation place I have talked to and visited gave me bad information and the info you posted is from Idatalink and the people at Idatalink and i quote said " pioneer really screwed this up" and their customer service department has been hammered with upset customers who were mislead... right... makes no sense. SO thats why I am putting it out there. You are clearly a fan boy but I am interested in making sure others dont go through what I have. If you have a chrysler vehicle and have a digital amp or
  14. Um yes it has been.. Who the hell upgrades a radio to lose their factory options. Unfortunately because there is a lot of misinfo on the product and Pioneer advertises all over the place about its a maestro compatible product but doesn't use a majority of the compatibility options like Kenwood or Alpine its a joke. If you don't understand then you a: are not an audiophile and actually use your radio or just ignorant to the issues... WOW. I am sure there are many others who want to know the truth about the limited BETA functionality of these NEX units.
  15. Confirmed. I just did the update and its basically useless if you have a premium audio system. I would not recommend a Pioneer to anyone who likes control over their factory amp..
