1. http://tahoeyukonforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=595 here's the answer
2. i could not see the pics on the link, anyone else done this? how much did he have to hack into the structure of the dash? we have a D3 in our one truck, bought wife a used 2000 tahoe to tote kids in. was just gonna pop a used D3 in it, instead of the hassle of learning a new radio.
3. awesome!!!! they work great so far, updated the program when I put the DVD in. love the printed on logo. thanks for making these. i suffered a USB Serial ATA Data loss at work...so been busy...i hate trying to burn DVD's
4. yeah, i need a set too. i have a D3. i would rather pay you than jack-wagon around with a DVD burner. gonna email you.

Avic D3 Ebay Fraud

yeah, this isn't a problem Paypal will kill the seller every time
6. can you post a link to the correct cable? and, i will need the cable, which is old style, and need the adapter you linked, to go to the newer style iPhone, correct, ?? she does need to charge it, using GPS drains the battery ASAP thanks
7. will it play music like an Ipod? or nothing? wanna play music on road trips, don't have an ipod or the ipod cable. but the spousal unit has an iphone, if I get the cable from best buy (how much more are they than ebay?) will it do cool stuff?
8. i think the sub is wired off the wrong RCA's cut in the HPF try the fader or it may be off the speaker leads.
9. mine did same in SC, and it's not super cold here. I just put a switch in the ACC line, and switch it off and on once the car gets warmed up. the switch is AWESOME for turning the stupid D3 off i put my switch in the TOP of a cubby hole in the dash, so you don't see it, and i can reach it easy. its great for drive thru's, talking on the cell phone & can't hear, or just turning the unit off to drive in the quiet.
10. no, i think the bypass just falls loose everyone complains that "so and so shop did it, they are idiots, ..it quit working" that gets posted at least once a month on here. so it has to be the connectors/pins are losing contact. mine has quit now, and i did it myself, and i have redid it. i tried to tweak the mute wire plug some to fit tighter on the pin, but i guess i won't successful
11. i went back to the D3 software (I had bought some DVD's from a newer unit on here - maybe a Z1 or __ theres a thread on it) I thought that was a good deal because it had newer maps and updated the software. and I did both resets (in the menu and the button) and no problems since I went back to the OEM D3 disks. the volume control has to be spun fast enough to "wake up" so if you just turn it slow, it doesn't work you have to zing it to get it to work. i always use the remote, so never noticed. it's not worth sending it back if it breaks, it's a $
12. Note the D3 is not mentioned anywhere. Product Upgrades & Notices http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Support/Product+Upgrades+%26+Notices
13. Notice about AVIC-Z1 and Z2 Firmware Update for Lock-up and Freezing Issue. http:// http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/ ... zing+Issue.
14. guy at Crutchfield said they did, that they could swap it out somehow, so that i would not be riding around with no radio. but the lady at Pioneer's warranty department (1-800-421-1404) was adamant that there was not. she it only takes 3~5 days for most repairs. just wondering if they had one, but the D3 was so problematic it is not covered.
15. bought it in Oct 07 locks up, and won't do ANYTHING. has locked up the last 3 times have tried to use. how often is this happening?
