    Screen 8000

I kinda figured it was gonna be something like that. I was just wondering if anyone has taken there's apart... what type of process it is? Cause ive changed multiple screens on samsung phones being a two step process with your digitizer being one step and your glass another or order them together. I noticed in the thread you posted someone said its two different pieces you can purchase. Glued? or? In the following link i just contacted seller to see if its the entire assemble. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/PIONEER-AVIC-8000NEX-PIONEER-AVIC-7000NEX-PIONEER-AVH-4000NEX-LCD-SCREEN-/141611244624?pt=

    Screen 8000

Has anyone changed out a screen in a 8000?
  3. Gotchya I was kind of thinking it was a toss in the air... Meh. Thanks!
  4. Use a samsung MHL 3.0 adapter. I have my note 4 rooted and flashed with xnote rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4-tmobile/development/rom-xnote-v3-0-nk4-n910w8-n910t-tmobile-t2980226 and adjust my dpi with the roms built in xtransformer to get proper resolution along with nova launcher to fine tune things also use appradiounchained. Buy it for the 30$ its 110% worth it!!! If you want to go wireless id go with the netgear push2tv, though if playing video ... quality is crap and your battery will be dead from 100 - 0 in about 2.5 hours. The netgear is the only adapter that works effecti
  5. Was wondering if anyone has tested out their 8000 for max volume support while tuning with an amp? Rule of thumb is basically 3/4 volume which is around the 26th notch on the head unit. Has anyone gone beyond this and tuned up with amp? Thanks
  6. So I figured out my problem... Before such I disabled the bypass and touched my ebrake wire to deck and all worked... Well in my bypass instructions it says you can wire a toggle to disable it or enable it in the ground wire... In which case I did. The lil toggle has a lil led.. To my surprise when I got everything wired up, the little led lit up.. On a ground wire....??? So I decided to get rid of the switch and jump the two prongs to have solid ground... Tada! I have video again and bypass is working which again makes no sense as the bypass has a little led on it stating proper opera
  7. Intersting reads here... I am as well trying to get the samsung allshare dongle working on the 8000 and i have no luck. Phone says its connected to allshare dongle but HU will not recognize anything plugged into hdmi port.. I think I give up on the samsung all share cast dongle. Gonna use that for TV i guess and perhaps purchase a PTV3000 because ive seen a few youtube videos with it actually working!
  8. As far as I know everything is wired correctly cause it was all working previously... before avic went into panic only display read camera mode.. LoL Exactly the Samsung MHL3.0 adapter. Thats what was working for me as well .. hmmmmm
  9. Bypass is wired in and is wired correctly as the ground has a inline toggle switch to deactivate the device (simulating parking brake off).
  10. Sweet! So in phone settings what do you have checked? Other = hdmi in? Because with hdmi selected mirror icon on unit goes away when you select usb it returns as with appradio some selections make it disappear.
  11. Ahhhh icicic.... Well like you say put it in, format it to fat32 and let it sit, though for me I'd like to be able to update files.. Hence like u say, corruption.... Well that's why I've been trying to look into a way to extend my phones capacity via a card extender but... That takes up the USB port which essentially after a few hours kills the battery.. So if I can put 2 512gb ssds to the USB ports... I should be good for quite some time... Exactly what you say! It's in the settings of the nex that's f'd things up after the battery pulls. I shut down for the night and am gonna watch A
  12. Nice buddy, U nearly have a TB of storage attached to the nex! I have to buy another usb cord extension for this thing as id like to attach (as much as i can) ssd storage to usb and i already have a 256gb micro sd in my phone. Does the sd card only support fat32 format and (from what ive read) 32gig? My entire plan was to basically lose my phone between the seats yet have it displayed continuously on the unit, but this is seeming an issue.. My install is taking a hell of a lot longer than planned but I want to do it right the first time rather than rip my dash apart ... twice, thrice, quadrup
  13. I was wondering if anyone has any experience running ARU reloaded on a samsung device (note4 ported xnote rom) to a avic8000nex..? Everything was running peachy till i started the install of my front and rear cameras. To begin i had installed rear camera via factory reverse wire and then started reading in forum to hook up via reverse lights. So i dug into my harness found that one lil green/brown wire and wired it up. All was running A++ till I tried to figure out front camera and eventually i got it going thanks to an individual on this forum but when I shut truck off and cycled ignition ba
  14. Well.... sure but my maestro is hooked up to the aux 3.5mm giving me my satellite radio and the 4 pin idatalink is hooked up to avic. I had both hooked up via 3.5mm w/r and idatalink to 4pin and that.. well lets just say nothing was working! .. Unplugged from w/r and plugged into 3.5mm aux which throws audio through to avic and all worked like a charm! But now my issues is aru reloaded ..... ... .. . . have to email developer because it was doing weird shit to begin with.. btw have u ever successfully hooked a samsung all cast to you hdmi port?
  15. So after I disconnected the power from battery (cause it was stuck in a bootloop with camera) I lost all functionality to aru reloaded. Tried to get it going again and well it works on the side of appradio meaning the controls for back, and homescreen etc. But where mirror of phone should be is, attention of front seat viewing.. Blah blah is there. ... This damn device is giving me a headache!
