Wow nobody?

Puchased an new 6100nex had it installed at a professional shop on Tueday this week, Had a parking break override installed, a stearing wheel control, and a rear veiw camera , the vehicle is a 2005 Tahoe with a stock Bose system no amps or aftermarkrt stuff. I have a z2 installed that has stopped reading c/d's and says unreadable disc, just bought a z3 with a cracked screen, but supposedly works, Can I just swap the disc drive. Doesn't look that hard to do, Could I even swap the hard drive between the two.

Update now if I leave everything off for an hour or so the unit will go to the Pioneer screen but then thats it. It might be time to invest in a new unit? RIP

New guy here, Recently purchased a tahoe with a avic z2, after getting the tahoe home and checking out the radio I discovered that the c/d player doesn't work, it just say's unreadable disc when I put in a c/d {original copy } I asked a at a few car stero places around town and a few of the people said to try removing the hard drive then see it it resets the unit.
