This is a great unit but two frustrations that I could do with some tips on fixing. Mine is installed in an Alfa Giulietta. Does it have to be installed so that it only powers on with the ignition? I ask because the boot time until navigation is ready is slow. Is there any way of enabling faster boot/sleep mode like on a PC? A minor similar irritation, is there any way to get rid of the nag screens which have to be pressed every time the system reboots?

In setting up my new unit I seem to have set up an unknown anti-theft password (perhaps by pulling out and re-connecting the power?). I can follow the instructions to get into test mode using an SD card to get at the password. Trouble is I can't even open the LCD panel to get at the SD slot without powering up and entering the unknown password! Does anyone know of a mechanical way to open the front LCD panel on these units?! [This is a brand new unit. I have purchase receipt (attached) and box. I have not expressly set up any password on the unit]
