You were spot on! Many thanks uninstalled and reinstalled ensuring I left more clearance and all now working.

My newly installed unit wont eject. It starts too it move say quarter of an inch and then returns to the original position. Any ideas? Is it fouling something if so would that be at the top of the unit or the bottom where there isn't enough clearance? Thanks,

I have the UK equivalent to the 4000 in England (Europe) it is called the AVH-X8600BT would this work on the European version? The latest firmware is http://www.pioneer.eu/eur/support/software/AVH-X8600BT/page.html#download_429
