they wont play dvd's, you probably saw someone with the z1. Mine plays dvd's though and i have a d2, thats only because i have a playstation in my car. so are you still proving everyone wrong?

I need to know where to find the vss wire on a 2006 trailblazer asap, i cant wait anylonger, im in the middle of the install and stuck here, please help!!!!!

share the info, i have a video ipod as well with a d2 and 2nd gen ipod interface

what are the other functions that you dont care about for the vss wire?

I have the avic d2, i havent installed it yet. Am i correct in saying that i dont need to hook up my VSS wire and i need to ground my parking break wire and add a pin to the epmty slot in the harness and ground it and all my functions should work correctly while moving? If i am correct in saying that, when should i make all of these connections? Should i do them on initial install, before ever booting up the unit for the first time? does it really matter. thanks for all input

Oh let me add another thing, today i went to a custom shop to buy a new capacitor, and i asked him the question about mounting the antenna inside. He said it would not work if you mounted it inside. I told him ive heard of alot of people doing this and he said he;s been in the business for 14 years and has never heard of it. I said "i bet it would work", he said " i bet you a pair of eclipse tweeters it doesn't work. I took the deal, but if it doesnt work, i have to ride around with his shop sticker across my front brow for a month! So guys please tell me im gonna win!

Ok, so i talked to a best buy installer and circuit city installer and they both told me i would be dumb to mount my antenna inside my car, possibly under my dash. Why? I know how GPS works and the triangulation etc... but does it need true line of sight or will it work elsewhere. If anyone has a mustang, i have a 2003 gt, where should i mount mine, where did you mount yours?

I bought it on ebay for $780 shipped, a good price! Anyway, i wasnt aware that it didnt have dvd playback, so this unit cant play dvd's at all? can you hook up a dvd player to a video aux and get video on it or is it strictly nav and audio? Also i have a 2003 mustang, where should i mount my antenna? thanks everyone for your help....
