i dont really think these things are warranties of any sort.. I think they should be classified as "service plans". My 2 cents, i could be wrong.

I think that there probably was an internal dialogue as far as the legal liability of someone crashing because they bypassed the moving lockouts and they decided they just didnt want to have to face that liability. btw a friend at a local dealer today told me that the book price (cost) on the z1 unit for them is like 1575.00 not sure whether i believe it or not but he had no reason to lie to me i had already told him i was buying elsewhere.
