  1. Can you point me in the direction of that hack? I used a similiar remount script to install busybox to bypass a problem i was having cloning the sdcard.
  2. I'm having problems getting my unit to recognize a NTFS USB drive for Internal SD Card backup but it recognizes a FAT32 USB no problem, anyone have any recommendations? I've tried formatting using Tuxera NTFS on my mac and I've tried using a windows VM. Neither time was it recognized after being formatted. the same USB drives work on FAT32, so i know it's not a hardware issue.

  4. I'm sure you'll see this on my update on my error topic, but my unit came back from pioneer with 1.10. I'm going to buy an extra power harness so i can tinker with the unit outside my truck, hopefully we can collaborate and get bricked 7000 units working.
  5. Just wanted to update: Finally got my unit back from Pioneer today. Note: it came back with 1.10.
  6. I'm sending mine in tomorrow, +1 on sticking to whatever firmware they send it back with unless i'm feeling bold. Thank you all for the info and reassurance i'm not doing something incorrectly.
  7. I purchased a Pioneer AVIC 7000NEX and iDatalink maestro rr from crutchfield who've been extremely helpful during my install process. During install my head unit wouldn't communicate with the iDatalink maestro, the pioneer claiming iDatalink connection status was "NOK"; crutchfield tech support said my firmware needs updating. It shipped with firmware version 1.08, the available firmware on pioneers product page[2] was 1.10. I performed the update with the unit powered on and made it past the splash screen to repeatedly get stuck at a screen reading "Software Error. Please contact your Pi
