  1. I agree with Appradio mode being mostly worthless unless you root your phone and unlock full mirroring/control with an app like arliberator or appradio unchained. I am however really liking Android Auto for simple navigation and music through iheart radio.
  2. I didn't have many drops using the PTV3000. If that's the one you got make sure it is on the latest firmware. I haven't used it yet with the 4100nex. My experience was that blending worked on the Appradio 2 and with the 4100nex when using Android Auto. I may try some things. Are you just choosing HDMI on the radio to display the phone or are you using Appradio mode or just going to HDMI input?
  3. Are you trying to use Appradio mode or Android auto? I've used both with my Galaxy s6. Android Auto - just plug in the usb cable and it works if your radio supports it. Initial connection caused some problems bu it is working great now. Appradio - I used a miracast adapter to wirelessly connect to the hdmi input of the radio. I used the Netgear PTV3000.
  4. I have Android Auto working well on my Galaxy S6 and 4100NEX. I had a few issues with the initial connection. What I noticed is that if the bluetooth connection on the phone showed that it was connected for phone only Android Auto would not work. If it showed phone and media then android auto works.
  5. Yes it connects just like the MHL. USB for charging and HDMI for video.
  6. I had this working with my LG G3 but with an Appradio 2 using AR Liberator. The pioneer kit comes with an MHL usb to HDMI adapter. What the LG G3 needs is a Slimport to HDMI adapter. I got one from Amazon. The other option which I have also used is a Miracast adapter to the HDMI of the Pioneer. The video can then be sent wirelessly. I used a Netgear PTV3000. Like I said this was all to an Appradio 2 but it should be very similar.
