I know some Navigations have an option to change the voice of your directions (example: male, famale). You can even change accents, and languages. Can this be done on the Avic-N3? I was looking around on the unit itself but couldn't find anything. Anyone have any ideas? thanks.
  6.

ouch! I feel for you! Did they get the brain too or just the HU? I'm in Tdot too, scary stuff. Got a car alarm?

The car only had the factory alarm at that time. It now has a couple of surprizes installed.
does insurance cover that type of stuff or no?
  7.
Hmm, I thought about that... but I was wondering if having the switch flipped and NOT having the e-brake grounded (in case I couldn't get it done) would be a problem. Would it function as "normal" (without bypass) with the switch flipped and the ebrake wire connected "properly" as per Pioneer's instructions?
anyone have an answer to this question? btw. OP how did it work out in the end? let us know! thanks.
  8. how do you remove it to get to where the sticker is. im going to try a few things to get to the switch without voiding the warranty. ill keep you posted once i figure out how to get that sleeve off.
  9. im just afraid to mess with it because i don't want to mess it up.
  10. i think i may try the heat gun idea. i guess i have to wait until after it is installed. i wanted to see a close-up of the actual switch to see if i can take a small rod and put it through where the screw is without removing the sticker. just an idea.
  11. i just wanted to look. im trying to get around it without voiding the warranty. how do you take off that sleeve and remove the trim?
  12. Hey guys, Im getting my n3 installed tomorrow. I just opened it up to find the sticker and I can't find it. It looks like it is under a piece of metal that has the headunit attached to it. How do you remove it to get under it to get to the sticker for the switch? Someone please help so I can get this before I bring it in! thanks!.
