I do have them. I finally found the power wire, still drive doesn't work.

No, the bios does not see the drive. I even inserted to my laptop, no luck. After I pulled out the drive from the Z2, I plugged it to my computer. I had the adapter but didn't have the power wire. So I made my own power, maybe that was a mistake. I just know my drive is probably fried.

I may have some bad luck, I took out my present hard drive from Z2 ( not the original HDD ) and now it doesn't work at all. My computers and laptop will not recognize it. I tried AFF Repair Station and it doesn't recognize my HDD. I put it back in my Z2 and radio does not recognize it either. Thank God I still have my original, that works fine. Any ideas of what might of happen?

Question: Back in the day I did the Z1 to Z2 upgrade with a new HDD. I unlocked everything and removed the security feature. Can I just download the new maps and use Acronis ?

I personally think this upgrade is a piece of shit. Pioneer should be ashamed of themselves. Unless the upgrade consists of new graphics and totally get rid of the double screen, the upgrade is worthless and not worth $120. The Z1-Z3 system was the worst thing I ever bought and I truly regret it. I remember when I called pioneer to complain about the memory feature and the graphics they gave me a song and a dance about how the system was great in other ways. I think pioneer should create new upgrades to fix the hedious graphics.

I would like to see full screen 3D map, and a better looking maps. These maps they have now really suck, If I knew that before I bought the system, I would never of bought it. Also the learning feature never worked once and when i called Pioneer, they could not help. The Z3 is bulls**t, when it comes to the maps. I think pioneer did all their Z*- series customers a big unjustice, and should come out with a new Z4 update with all new redesigned maps and some new features you guys have on this poll.

Has any one else thought of replacing the map files from the Z1,2,3 with the AVIC-F map files. I just saw a demo on the avic-f, maps looks much nicer. Just a thought.

my Z3 is a refur and was bought on ebay, no issues, system comes straight from pioneer and is brand new. No complaints, have it for a year and 1/2. . saved 500 dollars.

Nope, threw mine on an 80GB Toshiba today. Working like a champ. I think Pioneer only gives you 30 gigs for music, regardless of the size of your drive.

Waiting for a new Toshiba HDD to load the new Z3 image. Anyone have any issues with a Z3 image on a new HDD. just curious Thanks
