reloaded all the flashdrive files and it works like it should again.... and my backup camera works again which had stopped working... guess it didnt go bad afterall.... now i wonder why this happened...

So an update... i installed the wince image from the 3.0 update guide... testmode then worked.. my entire My Flash drive is EMPTY! explains why nothing could load... downloading the f900 backup and hopefully itll all be better after that!

I also tried the USB testmode 2.3 that i found on here and nothing... When i get home from work I guess ill try the unplugging the navigation antenna to see if i can even get the unit to fully boot which seems to be a trick some people use...

Okay, so i left work today and after 10 minutes or so, of listening to music from a USB drive, my unit froze for a good 2 minutes. then came back to life. Got home, went inside and then went to go to the store about an hour later. Came out and my unit has been constantly reboot at the pioneer logo. It has been updated to the hacked 3.0 and then the 3.0.1 update without ANY issue. Its been this way for about 2 months and i've had no problems. I've tried booting into testmode to delete the files recommended in the other thread but the unit WILL NOT boot into test mode. I've format

IDK what issues you guys are having but this worked 100% the first time, as well as the 3.01 update right off the bat.. so im guessing any x-series update will work for my unit now?

well i just ordered a new non-pioneer cable... we'll see what happens... if that don't work i cut and hardwire it...

Ok guys, Now before i go and pull my f900bt out of my truck and call up pioneer and shit it to them, has anyone come up with a fully working 100% solution to this problem. I'm kinda pissed off with this issue and honeslty, seeing as i paid full price for this unit unlike most, i'm not too happy that i'm having all these issues!(especially the bluetooth issues i'm having with the unit locking up after ending a call) I know people change the cable with partial results, i'm looking for a 100% full working solution or is that solution just shipping the radio to pioneer? i can put my stock ra

Well i found one issue.. i apparently got my ipod cable caught and nicked one of the RCA wires.. the center wire to be exact so i have a feeling the shielding is touching the main signal which could be part of my issue.. I ordered a new ipod adapter(non-pioneer) and will see what happens when i change it out...

i have the saem issue... from what i've been told its pioneers crappy rca connectors... i'm gonna purchase an Apple rca/usb cable and check out my RCA harness from the unit. If u purchased it from an authorized retailer you should be able to get them to send u a new rca harness

yea i'm gonna purchase the cable from apple as well as call up pioneer and get a new RCA harness... i'm kinda pissed this is what i have to do but hey... if it works i'll be happy!

So, i've had my F900BT with sirius and ipod for a few months now. Purchased it when crutchfield had them on sale... well when i listen to ipods, my passenger front speaker does not always play. it will sometimes cut out but when it actually does play, it sounds all scratchy as if the speaker was blown. It does not do this on any other source, cd,radio, sirius. Only ipod. I've tried 2 ipods and both do the same thing. Could this be an issue with the ipod cable? Can i just hook up my usb ipod cable from my computer to test out this theory or does pioneer's cable have something special t

idk what it was, i messed with the data cable going into the brain and i got it to work... makes me concerned and think about upgrading

Hey guys, so my N1 sat in my garage for a few months disconnected. I went to reconnect it today and it did its usual schpeil with the nav disc when first inserted but each time it tries to update software(with my 1.1 or 1.2 disc) it fails and resets. i can still use the unit but no nav or AV stuff. Whats going on with my n1? i've tried resetting it, unpluggin the unit, everything.. no go.. i'm stumped and don't feel like sending it out for service! -Mike

Hey guys, so i got an N1 when it came out but i want updates maps and such, so i have access to N3 disks. If i install it on my n1 will i get updated displays for my ipod adapter and siruis adapter(both are the first virsions) or will i have to update those two to the newer versions? -Mike
