I did my firmware with an SD card. Worked perfectly

On the first startup yes mine 8100 is the same. But my Android auto hits quick and I use the maps off that feature.

If it doesn't auto launch once connected tap on apps icon and it should prompt you if all else is well.

Yup same issue yesterday. They didnt rename the folder. I searched it on here and got the answer. Firmware corrected alot of issues I had. So far I am glad I did it.

I ran into this with my S5 (lollipop). As other have stated make sure you have AA from the play store. Make sure you are using USB 2. Make sure under smartphone setup you have Android auto selected. Make sure you have developer options unlocked on the phone and select USB debugging. Enjoy

I just installed my 8100. So far its a solid unit and it does have some glitches from what I can tell. But overall I am happy. I am still on the 1.01 firmware on the unit. I did some searching on here before I posted this but really never got a clear answer. Some persons where wanting to go back to the 1.03 vs the 1.05. My S5 seems to be doing alright with android auto but the mirror link is super slow and really not usable. But I didn't buy the unit for mirror link anyway. So Im just trying to get someones opinion on it before I do a firmware update. Thanks
