  1. Thanks. Thought the D3 was supposed to have video control. Weird that you have to have the iPod in hand to control the video.
  2. Everywhere I read its says that everything pre-6th gen classics have no issues on the AVIC-D3. Well I got ahold of a 5th generation video iPod and updated it to firmware 1.3. Put a few movies on it and they don't play on the D3? Whats the deal with that? It says "use Ipod for full operation" (or whatever) just like it does with my 6th gen classic. Anyone know why a 5th gen ipod wouldn't play video with the D3?
  3. With firmware 1.0.2, the the D3 can play iPod classic video???
  4. Another cool tidbit is that the D3 will pick up where you left off when your mobile with your iPod. Say you are listening to a song jogging or something. Pause that song, plug into your D3 and it will start where you last were. Best HU I have ever owned! Now if there was a way to watch video from my iPod Classic and get rid of my ground loop.
  5. I'd trade ya. My D3 only came with the east disc. Since I live in Washington State it doesn't do me any good.
  6. Count yourself lucky. I had the 980BT with the Ipod interface unit. It would literally only show 3 artists then lag like a 56k connection playing Counter Strike when you tried to scroll further. In the end, you had to cull down your artist list, make a ton of playlists or just be patient and hope you could get to the song you wanted before you made it to your destination. Ultimately its why I sold the dang thing.
