  1. Thanks, that's kind of what I was thinking... They kind of did a half-ass job of the whole thing anyway (Circuit City, go figure). I'm pretty comfortable dealing with the electrical system in there now, I've since done the bypass and installed the bluetooth system myself, so if they prove to be morons once again, I may have to do it myself. I'll take it over to them and see what the deal is. Thanks again!
  2. For some reason, my unit never switches in to night mode. It's always as bright as the sun, no matter whether my lights are on or off. Could something have been hooked up wrong by the installers? I've got the D3 in a 99 Mitsubishi Eclipse. Any help would be wonderful! Thanks! Bobby
  3. Does anybody know of a good digital TV tuner that I can use with the D3? Here is one made by Pioneer that uses the IPBus, but I don't know if it is compatible with the D3: http://www.radiomancaraudio.com/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=pioneer-gexp6400tv It has RCA a/v out on it, so I guess if you couldn't use the IPBus interface, you could just wire it up to the AV2 or something. I figure it's pointless to buy an analog receiver since everything is supposd to be digital next year. Any ideas? Thanks!
  4. oops, sorry i missed that part. Sounds like a faulty cable. I contacted the seller and they are going to cross-ship me another cable. I'll go ahead and check the connection in the back of the head unit again too just to be extra sure. Thanks for the help, guys.
  5. The cable I have is identical to any of the other cables, including the 'Pioneer' cable. The people I bought it from get them directly from the factory. If it's the cable that has the problem, it is just a chance occurrence. Thanks for your help.
  6. Ha, if you look at all of your electronics in your home/car, I'm willing to bet that 90% of them come from HK too. Shipping was only $10, and the cable, I believe, was $7.99. I can't buy these cables from any place remotely close to where I live, so I found the best price and went with it. It's no different than the cables you pay $30 for. I'm sure I'm not the first one to get a defective cable. Where I got the cable and why have zero relevance to the problem that I posted. Thanks!
  7. That's what I was afraid of.... Thanks for the help, I've just got to get this sucker exchanged now. The only problem is I ordered it from Hong Kong. Thanks again!
  8. Actually, ferrium is iron. Gold is not a magnetic metal. I think that he meant 'gold' in the sense that they are really useful. Ferrite is something that is primarily composed of iron, but 'ferrium' is not a word.
  9. Howdy. I recently got my iPod cable for the D3 and hooked it up without any trouble. The problem is that when I plug in my iPod and try to listen, I only get audio out of my right side speakers. I also noticed some strange static sounds. The same thing happens when I try to plug in my iPhone to the same cable. Any ideas? Thanks!!
