    AVIC-8600NEX has no firmware update available. Did the 10 second press on bottom left trick. Display reports, "set on" but AA still complains parking brake not set.

    Confirmed working on two 5000NEX, both at 1.14. Parking brake wire never connected to anything, neither is speed signal wire. No odd messages come up. Sweet spot is in extreme corner as others have said.

    nvm, I needed to update BT software so was getting a second message.

    I assume this still leaves the smartphone warning?
