yes, you need a new gps antenna.As for the mounting location, i have no clue,i have a 05 nissan titan and when i did the install i mounted the antenna on the outside.Never tried it inside the truck -

If its the nav disc you got from ebay,its probably not the correct disc. I had the same problem with one i purchased from ebay
