  1. Just wondering if it is possible to attach a dash cam to the 8000 NEX series (not only viewing source, but also capable of recording footage), and if anyone has done it.
  2. Try launching pandora through the pioneer AVIC app (download it from Google Play, launch the app and let it run in the background. Connect to the headunit with a usb cable, and touch the pandora icon on the headunit). As for launching from Android auto...you can try that if you get the above working... (I use Carplay since I have iphone)
  3. The hdmi port is one of the most valuable ports on this headunit. You can use for literally anything that outputs a HD signal. For example, You can stream netflix, twitch, youtube, etc from your smartphone and watch all that content while driving You can plug your wii or wii u in and start gaming. You can hook up your macbook pro and have a computer car. You can use it for chromecast. You can use it to display Google maps/waze..etc.... The possibilities are endless
  4. Try pulling that fuse (I have never pulled that fuse cuz I didn't need to so I don't know wat will happen), and disconnect and reconnect the power harness. If it still does not respond to touches...then hopefully you have a return policy.
  5. You probably can, but will only know really once you take out your old headunit out of your dash. If you see a usb connector, then you can try reusing that (of course, before fitting all the trim pieces back together, test the functionality of the mic, connected usb's, etc.). If ford has "proprietary connections", then the chances are slim and you most likely would have to solder the OEM wiring to the head of the usb cable you bought (knowing that it may not work, and risks are high). People on http://mustangforums.com/ may have a better idea of doing this.
  6. 1) Yeah you only get 1 b/c pioneer wants to save $$. As for why is one included...to save money again 2) No you can use any usb cable you want. USB cables are standard across all tech companies. Depending on your car make/model, you can custom make one to fit your dash.
  7. 1) yes. For example you can use it to play videos from a usb 2)Simply additional options 3)Any 4)yes 5)yes Does everything a person can think of.
