90MT sucks for me ... There are still local roads, stores and restaurants that should have been on 80MT and are missing. Guess what ... they are missing on 90MT also! I would be pissed in I paid $120 for this update ... but I didn't ... so I'm just annoyed.

I'm anti-Microsoft .. but broke down and got an XBOX 360 .. and am enjoying it ... Even if you are anti-Apple .. I recommend an iPod. I could not imagine my D3 without one ... no just anti-apple in general. I guess i had more of a question as to weather that was a feature of the new maps or a bug specific to me more then it was me looking for product advice. Can anyone else comment on the question? did they take out the nice disc folder browsing feature or did i have a botched update? Thanks -Matt

I have downloaded both EAST disks on the FTP server ... they are identical ... The ZIPPED size is different ... but the ISO is the same. And the files are the samel on both ISO's.

How can you tell the N5 disk from the Full Upgrade disc? Certain file to look for or something?

Just tested it, works like a charm!!!! But what a rip off! Maps are dated 05/2008!!!!! It's already 5 month old!!! Incredible! Why is'nt there an option to download new maps when we want to, just like other gps! It would be nice if the Map Company included future roads ... There is a road in my town they have been working on for about a year ... it opened up about 1 month ago to traffic. Sure enough it's not on the new disk. It just has me driving through green ....

Not sure what is up with the small iso ... I recommend he ZIP ... it definitely works .... my D3 was just updated. Below is the second screen you get after inserting the disc ... THe first Screen has a message saying disc is being checked .. I wasn't quick enough to get a picture. Then this screen comes up for 30 seconds or so during the update. BIG THANKS to all those involved in making the EAST disk available!

OK .... I downloaded the ZIP .... when uncompressed it created 7.61 GB ISO ... I mounted the ISO image on my desktop and it looks fine. Currently burning it to a DL disk right now at 2X ... has about 24 minutes to go ... Used my Mac and burning with Toast ...

Download started .... 225 KB/s .... nice

I recommend Toast ... it can read and burn pretty much any type of disk image. pretty sure disk utility will only work with a .img file.

Put it on my iDisk ... I will NewsGroup it .... xxxxxxx Don't make it some obvious name either ... Apple will revoke my ID if they figure it out ...

Make sure you illumination wire is hooked up properly. Make sure your DAY/NIGHT mode is set to NIGHT to allow it to switch automatically. Mine works just fine. In the video settings you can control the brightness of both the DAY and NIGHT MODE. In Night Mode all the GREEN on the MAPS turn to GREY .... and of course the display dims ...

Thanks for the NZB ... much preferred over Torrent. Hopefully the EAST disc makes it's way to the NEwsgroups soon .. EDIT ... looks like no PARS included
