You guys are all great. I have been dealing with the video issue and the classic for a long time now. I think I am going to hold off for some sort of miracle instead of rolling back to the 5th gen. This is however the first I am reading about the fact that although this cable that WILL make videos play, it won't charge the ipod? does the dock make this work? does the cd1200 cable plug into the dock? unfortunately, my cable runs into my glove box and i dont think there is much room for the dock. can anyone actually shed some light on how this dock interacts with my cable that is already

Hey guys. I am having problems downgrading to v.1.02. I followed the steps on the link provided for 1.02 to 1.01 only making it for 1.03 to 1.02 instead. I run into a problem in step 8 - Head over to ‘Devices’ and select ‘Restore’. A dialog box will appear asking if you want to check online for updates, click ‘Don’t check’. i do not get that popup, instead it asks me to continue or cancel. my itunes version is 7.5.0.20
