I want to turn off the display....I saw that tread....does not have what i am looking for.

is there a way to turn off the screen on the D2?. At night when i dont need the it....i like to turn the display off completely.

I think you have to do the bypass in order for the AV input to work while driving.

D2 does not have voice command. I used to have the N1 and love the voice command...

i have the turn off thumb also on my system. I talked to the Ducati boys, they said their fix wont help...It is made for turn-on thump which is tooo much voltage to the factory amp. Turn-off thump is something different. I'm still waiting for a fix

I bought mine from HIFIonline. Everything looks new. I have installed for over a month now. Everything is working. I never check the UPC so i couldnt tell you. But i did register it with Pioneer...so far so good

A non-pioneer brand will not let you control it from the touch screen. I have the P90 from pioneer.

i got one from the same ebay guy above. It is brand new and he shipped it very fast. The box was factory sealed. It was $689 total for D2. I did the "Make your Offer" deal.

1. resolution is OK...the actual resolution is 320x240...so when you enlarged it to a 6.5"...it does get pixelated...but not too bad....live-able 2. if you are using the video cable from ipod...you can still listen to the sound...and switch the nav screen to map mode...sound still work. In fact, that what i use everyday. I hate the pioneer ipod interface. The wheel on the ipod is so much quicker to search. I dont use the ipod video that much. I have a 6 disc DVD changer.

yes...I have a D2 with the new Ipod video 30GB...just buy the ipod video cable and plug it into the A/V input on the back of the D2. the control will be on the ipod. If you dont need the video. You can use the pioneer IBD100. This would put the control of the ipod on the D2 screen..but no video...just audio only. But at least it does charge the ipod. The pioneer ipod interface sucks...i would not waste the money.

Are the background images in the nav DVD a jpg file? My old N1 take jpg image.
