I took my head unit and put it in my other truck to make sure That head unit in the truck was bad. PROBLEM when I did that I ended up updating my n1 head unit with the n2 green discs that go with that n2 setup. NOW I went to put my n1 head unit back in my car with the n1 setup and my discs wont work because the head unit is updated. What do I do to make my orange discs work>?? If I just get green discs will I be better off?? will it affect anything? I know I will have to do a new bypass because its also giving me the improper ebrake conection notice on startup.

QUESTION> What is the difference between a n1,n2,n3 head unit?? I know they all have different bypasses but I was wondering if it would be ok to use a n1 head unit with n2 brain? or how about a n3 head unit with a n1 or n2 brain? Im not sure if the head unit just displays or if it actually holds software in it to. Im thinking the hide away holds the software??

they will fix it for free even though i bought it used ??

I just purchased an avic n2 off of ebay for around 500 bucks. It came with everything needed for the install. Today I did the instal into a 2003 dodge 2500 pickup. After hooking everything up I turned the truck on. The screen flipped out and up and the unit appeared to be working inside and the face was lit, but the screen stayed black. right about then IM thinking I Just got robbed. ANYBODY NOW WHAT WHAT THE PROBLEM MAY BE??? ALSO ON THESE UNITS WHAT DOES HOOKING THE PURPLE REVERSE WIRE UP DO??? I ASO RULED OUT ANY CABLES BEING BAD OR THE BRAIN BECAUSE WHEN I PLUG IN MY AVIC N1 UN

I am looking for some help with info on how to update my avic n1 discs to newer ones. How hard is it to do an update and what is required? Is it possible to download an update through a torrent and just burn a copy?? Any help is appreciated thank you
