PAC audio makes a rca filter called RPA-VA1, this may help https://catalog.pac-audio.com/catalog/backup-camera-retention-harnesses/rpa-va1
If your'e using more than one video into the same circuit, you may need a video amplifier as well as a video switcher

Is the bypass for this model any different from other NEX models?
Or can you use a pac tr1 or metra trig1?Or will the quadrant bypass work?

Has nothing to do with the 4200. If you have to keep refreshing the signal, its a problem on the siriusxm side of things

Don't see anything online and don't see it listed at pac-part either

Appradio 4 model sph-da120 is going bye bye. One of the big boys bought all the remaining inventory from Pioneer and they are discontinuing this model very soon.

Does anyone know if it's possible to get Spotify on the 8200NEX (they have Pandora out of the box, but I'd prefer Spotify).
I know I can get to Spotify via CarPlay or Android Auto, but I'd prefer a wireless option.
I also know I can stream Spotify via Bluetooth, but it would be ideal to get the Spotify app integration (like Pandora) with the NEX unit.
Thank you.
Same issue. I purchased the unit because it has Spotify integration. I hope someone can help.
The 8200 only has Pandora. It does not have Spotify as a source. Last years (2016) 3800-5800 models and this years avhx390bs and 490bs have Spotify as a source. You can only use Spoitfy on your 8200 via BT or with CP or AA.

I'm having a similar issue with the 8200NEX and my Pixel XL. Andriod auto will start and work fine sometimes then just cut out and say incompatible USB device mid drive. Unplugging the phone and re-plugging it back in fixes is sometimes. I have tried using the approved USB-C cables that Pioneer suggests on their site, but I still get the same problem. I know it is not an issue with the phone as I travel for work and it works correctly in all my rental cars. Anyone had similar issues and get it working?
Sometimes you have to plug the usbc cable direct into the back of usb1 for the 8200. If you are using the extension harness that came with 8200 then using another cable plugged in, AA does not like communicating thru 2 cables especially if they are longer than 2-3 feet.

I just installed my 8100 NEX with firmware version 1.05. I grounded the parking wire and performed the quadrant 4 method. I was given the message "set off". I started driving and about 1 minute in got the warning that the parking brake is not connected. Do i do this wrong? How often does that message come up?
Thanks!
I don't think you need to ground the parking brake if you're doing the quadrant bypass
-
You might be able to ground the green wire and see the greyed out settings. If not you may have to move a pin in the harness and then ground the green wire.
-
Does that model not have a calibrate section in the settings?

There seems to be not many people using this site like there used to be.
Has something changed or is there like a private facebook group that everyone has migrated to?

Call Pioneer to see if they can fix it or contact United Radio in Syracuse NY as they are the east coast repair facility for Pioneer models.
-
Take it to an Apple store and let them run a test on the phone.

Nothing you can do. Tuners and models made here for the US are very different from overseas models made for the Euro and other country markets.

I have seen this happen in vehicles where the unit has direct sunlight or inside the vehicle gets extremely hot.
If your RV sits and you don't have any kind of battery tender on it, it may be a power source thing. Maybe the battery in the rv that specifically runs the radio source may be weak. I know rv's sometimes tend to have more than 1 battery in them so get a meter and check voltage on all the batteries first before doing any charging. If voltage is dropping below x number of volts, maybe 9-10, it just may be a weak/bad battery.

So I have been reading through these forums but haven't been able to find a concise guide on how to update the maps on my Nex7100 on firmware 1.09. I was able to update the firmware with ease but the maps seems to be a bit more of a daunting task. What I am requesting is if someone has the time and patience if they could please put together a step by step guide to update the maps on a x100 series NEX. Also if they could either email me a link or post a link to the IGO forums of the latest USA map I can use for my 7100.
Again this is not me being lazy as I have been combing through posts for hours trying to figure out a plan of attack all the way from finding the correct maps to loading them on my NEX without bricking it.
Thank you in advance

I have updated my 7100. its a very simple process. Create an account at naviextras and update the maps there. Here's a link to it https://pioneer.naviextras.com/shop/portal
One important thing I found out after I updated the maps, you will lose any information stored in the nav so I lost all of the address I had saved in the address book. Make sure to write em down before you do the update especially if you keep a lot of addresses.

If you used V1.04 on a 5201 you bricked the unit and damaged it.
One very important thing to know, the firmware/hardware on 5201 is not the same as a 5200. When Pioneer came out with the 5201nex they have new firmware that is not the same as a 5200nex
If you look up a 5201 on Pioneer's site you'll notice there is no firmware update for that model yet.
If you took v1.04 and updated a 5200 you have damaged the unit.
I work in distribution for Pioneer and unfortunately have had a few people call us telling us they have done the same thing. If you do this the unit is not covered under Pioneer's warranty. I've been told by a few that have done this, the radio tuner disappears as a source and a few other small navigation errors.

Make sure the antenna is plugged all the way in on the back of the radio
