Looks like it is a software issue. I have the same issue with my 8200nex when using Android auto but not for Carplay. Looks like Pioneer has different settings for AA or Carplay. It is too BAD!!!! Per the following link, seems need to connect "light green" wire from Radio to the power supply side of the parking brake switch. have you check "setting bluetooth device auto connection", p31 of 8200nex user manual

most factory backup camera video shows up immediately after switch to reverse though

answer for myself:) I did not use the red pigtail on either side. Rear camera works just fine, ~3 secs delay after switch to reverse. Not sure whether the trigger wire connection will speed up a little, tired to go back to pull all out and in

8200nex + aftermarket backup camera (~15 bucks) Backup image comes up NOT instant but 1~2 seconds after switch to reverse gear.

I am trying to connect a reverse camera to Pioneer avic-8200nex. The RCA cable running from back to front has a short red pigtail on each side. My question is: for the short red pigtail of RCA cable on the head unit side, which line I should connect to? Red, purple/white, or any other lines? thanks!
