  1. yeah you can do the same thing with the ptr7 or tr7 . you just do the alpine bypass and do not hook up the blue wire because theres no fotbrake input on the pioneer like the alpine. but the pause in between the footbrake output is enough to make a avhp work.
  2. Let me say this . I have been in car audio for 16 long years as a master installer. And info from the companies i deall with has always been free It really pisses me off when people sell info period. We should help each other out. Me and ducati may not always agree on everything. but this is one thing we do agree on. Info should be free. We both posted the july bypass all over the place once it was figured out. I had partial info on the unit and he had one and had figured it out. He just wanted to make sure he was correct and he was. And we neither one charged anyone for the info on how t
  3. Do not feel bad bro. i heard the same thing from a friend of a friend. And it did not turn out either. Word is from pioneer the info woll leak this month . But noone can say why its not out already . i have seriously tried everything. And i can not find it. i have tried an adjustable resustance and pulse timer from 3 to 20 times. and nothing . on brake wire or lights. I tried all the bypasses together and nothing. If anyone can find anything let me know and i will try it.
  4. Guys i wish i had a solution. i have literally tried eveything. I have tried every trick pioneer has ever used . And nothing. Its resistance im telling you. i just have to figure out the right one. Pioneer is having national training for their techs in april. I have an inside man there. So if we do not figure it out by April. Ill keep tring.
  5. Update. my customer never showed up. I called late afternoon. He was expecting his z2 and ups did not deliver. Hopefully today. I also called one of my friends who works at big audio install supplier R and D and he said he was told by pioneer that it was no different than the z1. Which from these post does not seem to be true, He is keeping his ear out. Another friend who is a premeier dealer has pioneer coming to his shop for training today. Kee your fingers crossed. Maybe my customer will show up or he will get some info,
  6. I have ben told to add resistors to the parking brake untill it reads 5 volts . which makes no sense to me. i would say hook the parking brake wire to the output wire that read 5 volts. doesnt that make more sense. does the parking brake wire show 12volts when its not grounded? i do not have one here but can only asssume thats what it does. my customer did not come in yet.
  7. I have heard the same thing. I will be playing with it on monday and will have bypass by tomorrow night. For sure. I have a phone call to make in the morning and the bypass will be everyones. Trust me on this. Watch this post on monday night. we will have the bypass.
