  1. I have a new 7200NEX and want to take advantage of the free one-time map update. My model is not supported by the Naviextras Toolbox, so I tried to use the AVICSYNC app on my iPhone. I was able to download the updated map to the phone via WiFi, but can't get it to transfer to the head unit. I am using a USB connection. The app has trouble 'associating the phone', and when it does often loses the connection. I finally got the app to begin the transfer to the head unit and said it would take 1 1/2 hours. The app kept losing connection and quitting on me. Any ideas? I will probably just use
  2. The distributor decided to send me a new Pioneer 7200NEX to replace the 4400NEX. I guess this is a good swap? I will now have a 9 month old AVIC U280 to remove as the 7200 has GPS built in. I guess I can try to sell the AVIC U280...
  3. I am having the same problem with my NEX4400. I would try updating the firmware. Pioneer tech support will want you to do that. I was told by the installer and pioneer the speed pulse wire does not need to be hooked up. After hours on the phone with Apple and Pioneer troubleshooting, Pioneer is going to replace the 4400. At the end of the conversation the Pioneer tech said that I am not the only one having this problem. When I get the new unit installed I will post back my results.
  4. Speed sensor is not hooked up. Installer did not want to tap into the Mercedes Wiring. Tech support at Pioneer said that should not be a problem. I would hook it up myself if I knew how. After hours on the phone troubleshooting with Apple and Pioneer, Pioneer is going to send me a new unit. At the end Pioneer tech said “you are not the only one with this problem”
  5. Yes, it is connected and I have excellent signal strength.
  6. I have been trying to reach Pioneer Technical Support for the entire month and constantly get a "We are training for 2 hours" message. The number I am calling is 800-421-1404 and have tried "1" for navigation, and "2" for other products, same message. I talked to them in March at this number and tried a few things but no resolution yet. Has anyone else had this issue? Is there another number I can try? By the way my problem is that I am unable to get CarPlay Maps and/or Google Maps to track properly when connected to my NEX4400. I have the latest NEX firmware and iOS. When I connect my iP
  7. scott_O - it is good to know it is working on your system. Did you update to the 1.0.1 firmware? To answer your question, the problem shows up in both Google Maps AND Apple maps. I also have an AVIC U280 Navigation module hooked up to the 4400 - it was installed as part of the package on my RV. The AVIC U280 navigation tracks perfectly. The 4400 does not allow the U280 & CarPlay to operate at the same time, so I don't think there is a conflict there.
  8. Yes, the GPS antenna is plugged in. I am using an iPhone 7 with the latest iOS. I have read on other forums that others have the same problem after updating to the newest OS while others do not. I just updated the Pioneer firmware to 1.0.1 as some have reported this fixes the issue.
  9. Has anyone had success using CarPlay and the 4400 NEX? When I use CarPlay the location icon is about 40 miles behind of where I am located. This happens with a wireless connection and a wired connection. I have not updated the firmware yet.
