  1. any idea what size or type of pin that is? Also if I wanted to extend that line to work with it, what gauge are all of those wires. Dan
  2. my bypass didn't work, mostly because my connection wasn't good. Now though I have a really tight squeeze and my mute wire looks like its in bad shape. Is it possible to put a new end on it to insert into the harness, or twist it or something? Or am I just screwed. I don't really wanna open the dash up again, but I want this thing to work. Clip up or down when inserting into harness? Dan
  3. How many pictures can you hold on the D3? Also can you have them in a slide show or change every time? Another question as well. It appears that my D3 has white lines that go through the screen when I would think it would be just black. Any idea why that might be? Is it just how the default is? It appears that the rest of the display looks fine (movies, map, ect.) Thanks, Dan
  4. First of all, I'm not sure exactly when I'll have a chance to fix it, but my mute wire appears to be in rough shape and is not popping into place. Is it possible to put another connector on it, or what should I do?? Thanks. Dan
  5. so basically, twist them up and apply some solder. Then put a twist cap on?
  6. I know everyone has had a million questions in regard to this post, but I still want to be sure I do it right. I have a '04 Chevy Silverado. I bought the D3X from crutchfield and they are sending my a harness for my specific vehicle. So the question is: Does the bypass work with the D3X? And also with the harness I am getting that matches my car, can I just wire tap or twist the 2 wires (yellow/black and green) to the ground and let the factory harness do the rest? And when I attach them, can I just cut a piece of insulation off the wire, wrap the other 2 around and tape them off?
