  1. I am not up to speed on the ND-BC5 but I just had the Boyo VTL375 installed on my vehicle and I am very happy with it. The VTL375 is built into a license plate frame that is strong and will not bend. Works great with my D3. Good luck with whichever you choose.
  2. Well I waited too long and now ClearTouch no long offers their Anti-Glare screen for the Avic-D3. My D3 is practically useless in my Highlander during the day due to the terrible glare. I was really hoping the ClearTouch would be the answer. Does anyone have any recommendations for an anti-glare screen for the D3? Hopefully hands on experience with one that really works. Thanks
  3. I am considering adding XM radio (Pioneer GEX-P950XM) to my D3 but want to mount the antenna to the dash, not the roof. I have read that some here have done this and I would like to hear how its working out for you. Any issues?
  4. I'm not so worried about the screen getting damaged as I am with the anti-glare feature. During the day I have an extreamly hard time seeing the screen due to glare. Can anyone verify that this will eliminate glare and make viewing easier?
  5. I am not very audio technical so please bear with me. I have read the AVIC-D3 installation manual and I have searched this forum for an answer to my question but as yet have found none. I have the D3 hooked up to my car speakers-2 in the front doors and 2 in the rear doors. Although I did not do the installation myself I understand that because I am only using the HU power these speakers must be connected using the speaker wires coming out of the power cord cluster and not the RCA outputs. The first step in upgrading my speakers is to add a powered subwoofer. Page 9 of the installation
  6. I know this sounds kinda petty but as I enter an intersection it seems the map is about 10 feet behind. It used to be very accurated but just recently changed. I have done no work on the unit so nothing has changed in the install. Sorry if this is a well covered topic-I did a topic search on the forum but found nothing and I searched the manual but also to no avail. Thanks
  7. Newbie here-I have done a search but found no help for my question so here goes. I just purchased my Avic-D3 and am now trying to understand it. I am not very technical with video stuff so I need help with operating the picture adjustments. I do not understand how much adjustment is needed on the brightness, Contrast, Color, Hue and Dimmer. My tendancy is to want to go "Big" on these settings but I do not understand how they affect each other. Some help with this would be greatly appreciated. I understand not all things are equal and "My mileage may vary" but I would not mind if you s
