  4. i am certainly not trying to fuck with you, only trying to help What is Network mode and how to use it on your Pioneer AVH radio the long version - YouTube i would try this procedure first, if this doesnt do it, pull the power harness from the back of the unit for 30 sec and plug it in and start it up and see where that takes you
  5. do you have the unit bypassed? How to Restore or reset your new 2017 Pioneer AVH NEX radio - YouTube
  6. I wanted to come back for an update. I updated my Iphone to 15.4.1 If you are having connections issues with Carplay and CarAVAssist ,go to settings on your Iphone, scroll down to the CarAVAssist app and check to make sure cellular data is on(showing green). For some reason I guess when I updated to IOS 15.4.1 it defaulted to OFF. Since I enabled it, I have no connection issues and the 3.0 update started almost immediately. As far as the 3.0 update, I don't see alot of difference

  8. I have the 8600 and I wanted it for screen size and the wireless CarPlay. I had an issue with the first unit from Crutchfield, problems with wi-fi connections. They swapped me a new 8600 NEX and had no connection issues after that. Til last week I updated my iphone iOS 15,4,1 and then notice they had released Firmware 3.0. After trying to do the firmware update on the 8600, I have had nothing but connection issues, so I am waiting on Apple to come up with a bux fix. So the software has been a nightmare for me. Not alot of info there for you but that's about all I got. the wireless CarPlay is p
  9. I have had connection issues since updating to iOS 15.4.1 on my phone. I hate when Apple releases a fix that screws something else up
  10. Well, my first impression of the first 8600 was an open box from Crutchfield. install was a breeze for me. I was unable to get the CarPlay to work properly and just figured I wasn't doing something correct. I was able to upgrade to V2.0 and it seemed to get better. Also, when I tried to update to V2,1, couldn't gets the update to update again. I wasnt able to get Car Play to work very well ever, Same goes for trying to use the AV assist app to work properly, long story short, CF swapped out the open item with a brand new unit, After the swapped, everything works as it should, no connectivity i
  11. tried this for 2 days with 2 different thumb drives. Crutchfield supplied me with a new unit, hopefully the install and the new HU goes well tomorrow
  12. I tell you what, the DMH-WT8600NEX is the worst Pioneer I have ever owned. Software is slow and the system lag is horrendous. Now for whatever reason, I can't seem to get the unit to take the latest and greatest software release 2.01. I have tried 2 different thumb drives and all I get is USB hub errors. This was an open box deal from Crutchfield that I got for a decent price. But still for $1100, to spend this much money on a headunit is a shame to be so bad. I may just have gotten a lemon. Maybe this is why it was an openbox. Thinking I will be returning this unit
