Hey guys, I recalibrated my buddy's screen, so the buttons are spot on...but the old problem of not being able to input street or city names still exists. Basically, the buttons are being PRESSED, the screen shows the button being pressed, but the street just does not register. For example, I can put in 12345 in the House number, but when i get to the STREET name, if i start typing MAIN ST, it will register each keypress, but MAIN ST will not show as being input. the reason your bberry will not auto connect is because you havent made it a trusted device. Go to the bluetooth settings, highlight the avic, hit menu, device properties and chance trusted to "yes" And FYI, the curve works 100% with the avic, other than the 50% volume issue mentioned above. However, i find that the volume at the curves 50% is equal to my LG at 100%...either way i still cant hear the other caller too well and the avics "max" volume is pitifully low.. Abe

there is a road in zip 91355 (city of santa clarita) called Newhall Ranch road. from the corner of Rye Canyon Road to the 5, the road was opened last year. Google maps still shows as incomplete. does the z3 have this road connected to the 5 freeway? See snapshot below.

Hey guys, I notice that the forum recommends an unlocking service that costs ~$50 (or roughly the cost of getting a whole nother drive from new egg!) I found a free one, but i think it only works with seagate. Opinions? Abe

maybe im wrong, but they gave a dedicated button for traffic "t" but no mute button. i would think the vast majority would benefit from mute rather than traffic on a more day to day thing...no? not to mention that if youre like me and you dont use traffic, that button is absolutely useless

what is the size that fits the screen perfectly? like 1024x768 or whatever. what aspect does the zx need? Abe

your picture LOL i dont know if they still have it, but i bought the z2x package from 6thave for $1200 and sold the camera for $150 so the z2+ndbt1 only cost me $1050. The d3 may have a better ipod interface (i dont care) but i MUCH prefer the hdd on the z series instead of having to swap dvds and such. I also like the larger screen, hence i will never switch to the new F series. the 2 wire mod to allow use while in motion is super easy on the z series, especially if not even installed yet! i believe the z1 is just an upgrade away from z3 status, and you dont NEED the $200 eb

I notice on the website it saying you can give complex voice commands, such as "go to LAX" combining the "go to" with POI name "LAX" I tried and failed to do this on my Z2. Perhaps this is something they changed on the Z3? Comments? Abe
