i used a dremel tool with cutoff wheels to remove the rear bracket. just installed the same setup in a 03 gmc with the bose and onstar. the instructions that came with the pac box werent correct, i ended up calling crutchfield and they directed me to the right wire to tap into. also i read on here removing the entire dash made it easier and it sure did. with all the wires to hide and the xm boxes.

just joined to say hello and thanks. i got the d3 with blue tooth, xm tuner, back-up cam, gmos 04 and pac swi. ordered it thursday night from crutchfield. read some posts about the bypass and other install issues friday, and received it sat morning at 10:30. i was finished by 7 p.m. i installed it in my 03 gmc crew cab with bose and onstar. only issue is the blue tooth wont connect with my helio ocean. i've done many stereos but this was the hardest by far, but was made alot easier by the helpful posts. ill post some pics tomorrow. thanks again!
