New member and apologies for the probably stupid question, but I did search...
The screen of my AVIC-8000 is completely unresponsive; screen is black, no screen or button presses work, but I know the unit is on and functional (music plays when I connect my phone). I think it's a simple matter of the ribbon connector losing connection behind the faceplate. In fact I'm pretty certain that's the issue and I caused it. I can just get the screen open I can reconnect the ribbon.
So, can the screen by forceably pried out? Any tips? Grip or pry points? Power from the car on or off? Ca
