  1. i thought that too but i popped in a random mix cd the other day and it found and named most of the songs. or does it refer to cd text if gracenote can't find it?
  2. heres one i made and several made for me courtesy of gmschiller. i was attempting to get the indigo and red that would compliment the VW interior lighting. anyone with more skill wanna give this idea a shot?
  3. don't know if anyone is still using this bypass but i have one of ducatiboy's circuits if anyone wants it. free. or should i send it back to you ducatiboy?
  4. yeah, just read up and i remember seeing that ducatiboy circuit all wrapped in heat shrink while wiring the XM. i'll do the 2-wire and have a new Z3! and my bluetooth won't echo any more! this forum rocks! thanks all for everything!!
  5. crap, your absolutely right! that's all the symptoms. i'll bet mine is an early Z1 with the old bypass. i'll look into the FAQ and do the two wire. just to be clear, if you've done the two wire bypass and then you change the drive and reimage the bypass is still in effect right? there's nothing you need to redo? mine was bypassed with my old Z1 drive and image but it was probably the old style and so wouldn't work with the update. am i on the right track?
  6. ok. just installed the image this weekend: Avic Z1, i put the image on TOSHIBA MK6034GAX 60GB 5400 RPM. Made the MSV partition 30G and disabled the lock. i have the image downloaded from Torrent. The new HD updated and installed sucessfully. All of my AV functions work perfectly. I have the new maps (2/2008). BUT several Navi menu functions do not let me select them or modify: Address search Scroll bars in the POI Search menu Phone menu Backgroud select any way to enter and search for a destination is blocked. My maps show me, track me, show whats around perfectly fine.
