  1. I have a new X920BT in my 2006 Toyota Sienna. The Sienna has five steering wheel controls: volume up / down, track up / down, and mode. I think my PAC SWI-PS can control more than five functions. Is it possible to add some sort of aftermarket button(s) to my steering wheel to add some additional functionality? For example, my steering wheel "mode" button is currently programmed to "mute" with the SWI-PS (my choice), but I would like to add "home" and "mode' functionality to my steering wheel as well.
  2. I am a new owner of a X920BT, upgraded from a D3. I am having enormous difficulty navigating my Ipod or Iphone music content on my 920. My problems include: 1. Flicking up / down the artists or songs lists: I must be an incompetent "flick-er," because I keep accidentally selecting items instead of scrolling. Solution? Is it just me? Is there a portion of the LCD that is more flicker-worthy? 2. Scrolling makes the content disappear: On those rare occasions when I actually am able to scroll, the text disappears, and I am scrolling through a blank void of nothingness, which makes
  3. I upgraded from a D3 to the X920BT a few days ago. On my D3, when I was on a phone call, I could adjust the volume of the call via the rotary volume knob on the unit (which, in turn, allowed me to adjust the volume using my steering wheel radio controls because I have a PAC SWI-PS). WIth the 920, I see that there is a special pop-up on the LCD with volume icons for the call volume, which do not appear to be linked to the main volume buttons on the unit. So, if I want to adjust the volume of a call on the 920, I can't use the steering wheel volume controls, and instead have to reach over to
  4. Terrific post, thank you. What are the better options that are available in the $750-$1200 price range?
  5. I am attempting to decide between a Z120BT and an X920BT. I am aware that the Z120BT has a larger and motorized screen and 4 volt preouts, but the software for the two models is identical. I prefer the hard buttons of the 920BT and don't mind the smaller screen. Do I lose out on any features / functionality by getting a 920BT? Is the processor slower? Are boot-up times longer? Other differences? Thanks.
  6. Will either the X-series or the F-series charge an Iphone 3G? Will both units pass video from an Iphone 3G? Thanks.
  7. What will be the differences between an updated F90BT and a new X910BT?
  8. I do not know if Pioneer will also be providing a software update to the F-series; I certainly hope so, for the sake of those customers (and Pioneer's reputation). But it is my understanding that the reason for a new series designation is to escape the poor publicity of the F-series and to create a "fresh start."
  9. According to a Pioneer rep I spoke to last week, looks like the entire F-series is going to be replaced by a new, improved X-series in June. The new product line should be announced publicly within the next three weeks.
  10. Sorry for the ignorance, but do the F90BT and the F900BT run exactly the same software, so that a F90BT owner might expect exactly the same update?
  11. My Iphone 3G initially paired with the AVIC-D3, but I cannot now get them to connect and have not been able to make a call. Anyone have ideas?
  12. Sorry if I missed this, but any word on an upgrade path (such as dock connector cable with authentication chip) for Avic-D3 owners with current-generation Ipods who wish to output video and who do not wish to use the Apple composite cable workaround?
  13. What solution will Pioneer create for current AVIC-D3 owners who own an Ipod Classic and wish to output video? Will Pioneer manufacture a new cable with an authentication chip, or have some other solution?
