  1. Thanks Garret. You always know what's up. I hooked it up and it works like a charm.
  2. the wireing really shouldn't be a problem seeing as how everything comes unplugged from the back of it. The crappy part is driving around with no radio and a hole in your dash. as for your problem I don't know what would help. But if it's under warranty still I say suck it up and send it in. It's your best option. They know what to do to fix it and then they will bench test it as well so it'll be better than new.
  3. So I have my XM nav Traffic box hooked up and the audio works (i'm about to activate it with the nav traffic) but when i check the signal strength it says that it's not connected. Will the nav traffic still work even though it says this? Also anyone know it the Zwinback promo code still works? Oh and if it helps i have the xm plugged into the ipod adapter and then the ipod adapter into the stereo. But I've tried it the other way and it still does the same thing. Lemme Know. Thanks in advance.
  4. From the looks of it your mic might be a little two far away. i used to have my in the little cubby under my hvac control in my tC. It sucked there. I moved it to my steering column and it works great. People can hear me pretty well. You might also want to try moving the voice to your front right speaker it helped me reduce the echo and i turn down the call volume as low as i can stand. and take the . out of the 133.7 and it's 1337 google it.
  5. I have over 6000 mp3s in my iTunes playlist. there has to be an easier way to get them on my HD than what I'm doing now. I'm burning one cd at a time and putting that cd on my Hard Drive. I'm getting so frustrated. Please help. Yes I am part of the "I-want-it-now" generation.
  6. I stopped by his home and had him do it for me. Looked super easy (i was just in the area) and works amazingly well. Now if i could just figure out how to load all these mp3s in a more efficient way.
  7. Can you do it? I've searched and no one has said anything yet. If you know pass it on if not I'm gonna give it a shot.
  8. It's a shame this doesn't work with my Blackjack. Oh iPhone in January.
  9. Like the poll ask, Should I switch or leave it the way it is? I like my Z-2 but i HATE HATE HATE the iPod interface. Also the maps are kinda screwy and missing some info. If I do decide to switch (which your input and me playing with the one my dad might install in his 'Stang have a lot of pull) will the stuff (harnesses, face plates, xm, Ipod, etc.) still work or would i have to gut it all and start over? I Mean I could do that but it was kind of a PITA to put it all in. Let me know what you think.
  10. OK i have a Z-2 in my TC but my dad is looking to add an f-90bt series to his GT. I have a few questions but first let me tell you that he has the Shaker 500 stereo system in his car. Ok now the list. 1. Is the Bypass done the same way as my z-2? 2. What all do I need to do this install? I know I need harnesses and stuff like that but what other extra stuff do i need. 3 Has anyone done this yet? Cause if so I step by step would be greatly appreciated.
  11. So let me get this straight cause i'm kinda dumb. I should open the iso file i should just burn the iso file? The z2 can open an iso?
